Terms and conditions of service

  • eConferenceAlerts reserves the right not to list events added to our site.
  • eConferenceAlerts reserves the right to change the criteria we use for listing events as we see fit.
  • eConferenceAlerts reserves the right to remove an email address from our subscriber database if it bounces repeatedly.
  • Subscribers wishing to be unsubscribed should furnish us with the email address with which they originally subscribed to eConferenceAlerts. We will make every effort to unsubscribe subscribers, but failure to furnish us with the correct subscriber details may make it difficult for us to unsubscribe someone.
  • We reserve the right to edit information about events should we deem this necessary.
  • We reserve the right to edit or remove keywords to enable an event to reach the correct target audience.
  • We will make every effort to send a Featured Event Service announcement out as soon as possible after we receive notification of payment, however, we reserve the right to stagger the sending of Featured Event Service announcements as we see fit.

Refund policy

  • Payments made towards promotion of events via Social Media & Ads on our portal are non-refundable as we invest both our time & effort in promoting your event.

Privacy policy

eConferenceAlerts values your privacy and we have taken every precaution to ensure that information about you will be treated as confidential. Below is a detailed overview of the kinds of information we collect, what we do with it and our policy about sharing it with third parties.

1. Information collected on this site

  • Information as provided by users upon first registering with the service. This may change from time to time but includes names and e-mail addresses. Where financial information is collected, this is done via secure servers with latest encryption.
  • Information provided by users when changing their profiles or conference announcements.
  • Information provided by users when communicating directly with us, whether by e-mail or otherwise.
  • Tracking information regarding which parts of our site you visit.
  • We participate in the Google Adsense program, and as part of this program, cookies and/or web beacons are used to collect data in the ad serving process. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve interest-based ads to users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.

2. What we do with information collected

  • The primary purpose of collecting information is to appropriately direct conference announcements.
  • We also use the information for research purposes, regarding typical users' demographics and interests.
  • Information provided by users when communicating directly with us, whether by e-mail or otherwise.
  • We reserve the right to not list events at our discretion.
  • We reserve the right to remove information from the eConferenceAlerts website at our discretion.

3. Sharing information with third parties

As a general rule we will not disclose personal profile information to third parties, except:

  • When we have your permission.
  • When we believe, in good faith, that the law requires it.
  • If you were specifically informed that this would happen before providing us with personal information.
  • We allow the Google Adsense program to use cookies and/or web beacons in the ad serving process. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
  • In order to implement the Social Media Buttons including Twitter, Facebook and Google+, and connect them to the relevant social networks and external sites, there are scripts running on our site from domains outside our control. You should be aware that these sites are likely to be collecting information about what you are doing all around the internet, including on our site. If you click on any of these buttons, these sites will be registering that action and may use that information. Please check the respective policies of each of these sites to see how exactly they use your information and to find out how to opt out, or delete, such information.

  • eConferenceAlerts may display advertising. The inclusion of third party advertisements does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, warranty, or recommendation.
  • The author makes every effort to distinguish advertisement, if present, from the editorial content by appropriate labeling.
  • We reserve the right to reject advertisements that are false, libelous, exploitative, hateful, or that fail to meet our standards.
  • If you believe that your work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please notify eConferenceAlerts at http://www.econferencealerts.com/contact-us.

You must provide all of the following in writing: identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed (or if multiple copyrighted works, then a representative list of such works); identify the content on the Services that you claim is infringing with enough detail so that Moz may locate it; provide a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; provide a statement by you declaring that the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the exclusive owner of the copyright interest involved or that you are authorized to act on behalf of the exclusive owner; provide information reasonably sufficient to permit eConferenceAlerts to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address; and your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of notice as described above, eConferenceAlerts will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, including removal of the challenged use from the Services or termination of the posting account

Disclaimer

  • Please check all details of conference organizers carefully before making arrangements to attend an event, or paying money to organizers.
  • eConferenceAlerts checks event details to the best of our ability; but the final responsibility of ensuring that an event is bona fide rests with you as a potential conference goer.
  • Please also be wary of event websites using the eConferenceAlerts logo to try and gain status and/or credibility for their event. eConferenceAlerts does not have any media partnerships with event organizers and has not given permission to organizers to use the eConferenceAlerts logo.
